With the wide array of solutions available on the market these days, it can be challenging to find the best facial skin care system. Usually, it is a matter of knowing what to look for in key skin products. Also, it is knowing what substances to avoid.

What to Avoid

Let’s start with what to avoid. Basically, you want to avoid all types of parabens. These are preservatives in facial skin care products that allow them to have a longer shelf life. Parabens are your first hint that the facial product contains artificial substances. And since your skin practically “ingests” substances applied to it, you want these to be the most natural substances available.

Also, stay away from fragrances. They are basically extra chemicals added to the product for the sole purpose of nicer smells. If you want to smell nice, wear perfume or cologne. Fragrances are in virtually every facial skin care system – you have to look carefully for those that do not have them.

These are two key substances to stay away from. But what should one look for in a facial care system? Here are some guidelines.

What to Look For

1. Cleanser – A facial cleanser or mask should be included. These basically remove all the dirt and grime that accumulates on the face throughout the day. Some of these products also contain emollients–substances that soothe and soften skin. These are great to have in a cleanser.

2. Facial Moisturizer – These are creams that hydrate your skin without making it greasy. Grapeseed oil, jajoba oil, and babassu are great ingredients to look for. Also, Cynergy TK is a great addition here since it helps to boost collagen and elastin production. These are two proteins that are fundamental building blocks for skin.

Phytessence Wakame is another notable ingredient to look for–it contains essential B vitamins, a very high amount of calcium, and most importantly, preserves the skin’s hyaluronic acid.

3. Eye Cream – Any facial skin care system should contain eye cream that targets bags and dark under eye circles. The best ingredients here are Eyeliss, Haloxyl, and Home Age. These substances work by improving circulation in the skin near the eye while also thickening skin as well.

4. Whitening Cream – Many facial skin care systems also include whitening cream. This type of cream is effective at removing age spots and other types of skin pigmentation without directly irritating skin.

Whitening cream, as its name sounds, also “brightens” your face’s skin tone, making it look rejuvenated and noticeably younger. When looking for whitening cream, look for extrapone nutgrass, which reduces irritation and enhances your skin.

Keep these guidelines in mind when looking for a facial skin care system. By doing so, you will avoid many of the artificial substances on the market, and make a much better and informed decision that your skin will thank you for in the long run.
