California Tan Dark
How can I get a better tan?

I’m 21, white – but not extremely pale. I can get a tan, I know I can because I’ve had one several times. I tan about once a month (in a standard stand-up tanning bed), yes I know I should tan more often to get a better tan – however, when I do go more often, about 2 or 3 times a week, I still dont get that good of a tan.

I use a lotion – ‘triple bronzer sweet sutra dark dual hemp elixer’ by california tan.

Before you start your rants and raves about skin cancer, I know the risks – also I dont need smart reponses.

Should I eat something, take a vitamin of some sort, use a different lotion?

Well first of all, you need to increase the amount of exposure you’re getting. Going to the salon one or two times a week should do it. You may even want to go more often, every other day for a week till you reach your desired color, then once or twice a week or so to maintain.

Now reaching that desired color isn’t always as easy as it may seem. Experimenting with different lotions and different tanning equipment is usually necessary. I like that you are using a stand up instead of a lay down bed by the way. You’ll get a much more even tan that way. Using a bronzer is the way to go, in my opinion, and the key to that is using a good quality, high end one. California Tan is decent, not low end at all, but I’d suggest Designer Skin or Supre. Black by Designer Skin and Ocho by Supre are two good ones.

If you follow these tips and stick to it, I’m sure you’ll be happy with the progress you’ll make in no time. Tanning takes work, it is an investment in time and money, but the results speak for themselves.

Good luck and good tanning!
