I also enjoyed the introductory information and background material at the beginning of each of the New Testament books. This extra information is well researched and skillfully crafted adding another dimension to my reading. It gave me fresh insights and a deeper appreciation for each the passage during my devotional study.
I would like to suggest “Praying the New Testament” as an excellent resource for family devotions or for personal meditation. The one volume compilation gives a fuller picture of the plan of praying the scriptures and makes the New Testament come alive as you pray your way through the book day by day.
