You will find shoppers also routinely purchase creams and ointments as well as over-the-counter analgesics. Dollar store costs are high, so margins are typically tight on this dollar store merchandise. However the volume will help to ease the problem.
#4) Pet Supplies. Dog toys, dog bones, cat litter, and more all sell well. So do dog and cat collars and leashes. This list just keeps growing. One of the tricks here is to purchase higher quality closeouts even though your dollar store costs will be slightly higher. This takes a little research, but the deals are available. Pet supplies are an often overlooked set of dollar store merchandise that can generate big sales for you when they are purchased and promoted correctly.
