Skin Care Olive Oil

Many dermatologists & health experts recommend the use of a facial mask on a weekly basis as part of your skin care regime. The most important factor is to determine your skin type when defining the correct product for your individual use. Whether you have dry, oily, dull or normal skin, masks are primarily used for deep cleaning, exfoliating & tightening pores. These products come in a variety of types from clay based, yogurt, fruit extract & gels, however, some of the most common mask ingredients can be found in your pantry or refrigerator.

Once you have determined your skin type it will be much easier & effective process in selecting a facial skin mask for your weekly treatment. For oily or combination skin, a clay based product is recommended. A clay based product is a good solution for deep cleaning your pores, removing oil & clearing up your complexion. Natural clay actually detoxifies your face without leaving it under moisturized. Individuals with sensitive skin need not be concerned with using clay mask products.

For people with dry skin, a mask is not used to remove oil but to deeply moisturize your face. By using a mask with moisturizing ingredients, your face will feel full & vibrant as it refreshes your facial features. Most mask for dry skin include ingredients that will soak into & moisturize your skin. It is recommended to leave this product on for a minimum of 10 minutes & then rubbing in deeper after this period before wiping off. The effect will leave an immediate impression as you will notice a much softer face after this treatment.

For individuals with dull skin, a mask that exfoliates will help brighten your overall look. Search for a product that will peel off & remove any debris clogging your facial pores. There are some great products on the market that use fruit extracts & have a terrific fragrance leaving your face looking & smelling great. Do not be intimidated by these peel off products as they are not uncomfortable & will leave you with incredible results.

Natural masks can be made from ingredients you can buy at your local supermarket. For exfoliating dry skin, simply wash your face with warm water to open your pores. Then combine 3 tablespoons of olive oil with one tablespoon of kosher salt. Rub this mixtures gently in the dry skin areas avoiding your eyes. Rinse afterward with cold water to close pores. For normal skin, mix one egg, 1/2 cup of oatmeal with one tablespoon of olive oil. Apply generously, let dry & remove with cool water. For oily skin, try applying Milk of Magnesia to the facial area, let dry & rinse with warm water. For dry skin, mix one egg yolk, one tablespoon of honey, one tablespoon of olive oil & vitamin E oil. Apply to your face, leave on for 15 minutes & wash off with warm water.

No matter what your skin type, the use a facial mask on a weekly basis will keep your face smooth, clean & maintain that youthful glow. Use them today for a younger tomorrow.
