Is Beauty school for Aesthetics really worth it?

I’m from Virginia and I plan on attending school for aesthetics in September. I was just wondering if the program is really worth it, or if I’ll just be throwing my money away. I’m very much into skin care and make up, and plan on being a special effects artist in the near future.
