2. Vitamin C – plays a major role in formation and maintenance of collagen, a substance that makes the skin firm and promotes wound healing. Good for those pesky wrinkles because it is a very good anti oxidant too. It can also protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun that also gives you those fine lines and improves your immune system as well as prevent skin cancer. Our body does not produce its own vitamin C. It may be available in facial masks, moisturizers and body scrubs but you can also have regular doses of citrus fruits and vegetables like broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, green peppers, spinach, tomatoes and turnips. Or you can always take supplements.

3. Vitamin E – a popular anti oxidant that maintains your skin’s freshness and glow. It also has good anti-aging properties and repairs overly UV rays-exposed skin. This vitamin softens the skin that reduces your risk for wrinkles and stretch marks. It is found in green, leafy vegetables; liver; vegetable oils and wheat germ.

4. Other Vitamins – like B complex, vitamin D and the mineral zinc has beneficial effects to your skin too.

Remember to take these vitamins for healthy skin and for your whole body. Your skin would not be as flawless as you want it to be if your other body systems are suffering. Exercise, adequate exposure to the sun, proper diet and other healthy regimens will benefit you as a whole.
