Men’s facial shaving?
O.k. any ideas or suggestions would be great, because no dermatologist has been able to help me as of yet. No matter what I do, I break out when I shave. Hear me out though, electric shaving (what i do now) is the closest/best result I can get without getting irritation or a rash in the beard area, especially on the cheeks and neck. My mustache and chin area are always perfect, but everything else sucks. Worse yet, I’ve tried not shaving and growing a beard, but when I get between 5-7 days, the rash like redness starts to come out just like when I shave. Now razor shaving is not an option, as I look like absolute crap even when I do everything right for sensitive skin(single blade razor, soften skin, good balm afterwards, etc.) So does anyone know what the hell this is and what I can do? Are you using a beard softener? shaving cream?
I haven’t used shaving cream in a least 10 yrs.
Perhaps your sensitive to it. Try shaving with a multiple blade razor in the shower. Your beard will be real soft and easy to rinse
When you use electrics it pulls the hairs and kind of rips them out– painful — I always turn red using an electric
Single blades dull real fast and must do all the work, multiple blades kind of glide along the top — less irritation
Your method of shaving could be the culprit too, shaving should be quick — going over the same area a bunch will cause irritation. I don’t normally recommend this but on some cases going with the grain can alleviate redness, I don’t normally recommend because you don’t get a good shave unless you do it several times, which I stated earlier can cause irritation.
