Tanning Lotions Colour
Aloe Vera based tanning products provide the most moisture for the skin. Aloe Vera should be one of the first three ingredients listed. Also stay away from tanning products that contain alcohol in the first ten ingredients. If the bottle says Orange #4 that means it has orange in it which causes your tan to be more orange. High levels of DHA means more brown tan not orange so always look for DHA in the ingredient list. Now that you know what your looking for I hope I see less orange and more tan bodies.
When you tan your skin is going to be drier no matter what so moisturizer is key to the perfect tan. Since there are so many moisturizers on the market it can be really confusing. Just because the bottle says “tan extender”, there actually may be nothing in the ingredients to extend your tan just a higher price tag. The main way products claim to extend a tan is to put a color in the solution which causes splotchiness and buildup of your tan. If yellow or orange is one of the ingredients in the tan extender product, go with a basic body lotion from any local drugstore. Also make sure the first ingredient in the moisturizer is not water. (This rule goes for most products unless a toner or actually water.) Best ingredients are shea butter, Vitamin A, E, and aloe vera once again. Do not use pure aloe vera gel on a new tan as this will cause streaking and discoloration of tan. Jojoba oil, coconut oil, or any e oil based product should not be in the lotion’s ingredient list.
