Can vitamin C pills be used for natural skin whitening?
I’m an African American female and I’ve always noticed that my face and neck are darker than the rest of my body. I’m afraid to use skin whitening pills and I’m tired of using bleaching creams.
You are correct to not to use skin whitening pills and I really don’t think that using bleaching creams is a good idea either. The person above who answered is correct in saying you should just let your skin be natural! Why do you feel the need to whiten it? By all means, take a normal dose of vitamin C, as it may have some beneficial effects for general health purposes… however vitamin C is best obtained and absorbed in its natural form by eating fresh fruit and vegetables. Please do NOT take large amounts of vitamin C pills above the dose as stated on the packaging, as studies have shown that long term usage of vitamin C in high quantities can have adverse effects. I bet your skin is a lovely colour. Be proud of it and enjoy it.
